Jimmy Fallon is taking the phrase “shout it from the rooftops” quite literally.

In a clip that aired during Tuesday night’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, the NBC host climbs to the top of a New York City crest to let off some steam. Naturally, yodeling ensues.

To his surprise, Fallon hears another yodel from across the city. It’s not an echo — it’s a fellow crooner on a nearby perch, none other than Brad Pitt. Rockstar Games releasing Max Payne 3 for Mac on June 20

Good news for Max Payne fans today; Rockstar Games has announced that the latest title in the series, Max Payne 3, will finally make its way to the Mac on June 20. That’s just two days from now. You’re going to need a pretty well specced out Mac to play it, with a dual-core Xeon or i Series chip at 2.4GHz or above to play, 4GB of RAM and a whopping 35GB of free space on your hard drive.

You’ll also need OS X 10.7.5 and above, and either a NVIDIAÂ® 8800GT 512MB VRAM or AMD Radeon HD 4870 512 VRAM graphics card too.

Max Payne 3 sees the title character on the streets of Sao Paulo protecting a wealthy family, far away from the New York City police life of old. Bullet time is back, and it promises lifelike movements and a “dark and twisted story.” Sounds great. No word on pricing as yet, but we’re not too far out from release either. Who’s excited?

The new film 42 celebrates Jackie Robinson’s courageous crossing of major-league baseball’s color line. The integration of the national pastime was one of the most important events in the history of the civil-rights movement.

But Jackie Robinson was actually the third black player in the history of major-league baseball, which did not formally ban blacks until the late 19th century. And it did so largely at the behest of white players, not the owners or the fans.

Instagram video rumored to be content of Facebook’s June 20 press event

Facebook is throwing some kind of press event on June 20, and the latest rumors surfacing suggest that Instagram may be the focus. More specifically, that Instagram getting video capabilities could be the focus. Sources close to the subject have reportedly told TechCrunch just that:

“On June 20, a source says Facebook will unveil that Instagram, its popular photo-sharing app, will begin to let people also take and share short videos. Call it the Vine effect.”

Facebook is no stranger to throwing events, indeed, we’re not that far removed from their Android focused Facebook Home event. But this one seems odd from the get go; the invites were delivered by traditional mail, for one. There’s a whole bunch of reasons why Facebook and Instagram might want to get in on the video level, not least monetization. We’re only a few days out from the event, so all will soon become clear, but do we really need the Instagram effect for videos?

Spooky PS4 Game Will Be Free for PlayStation Plus Subscribers

To incentivize gamers to join its ‘PlayStation Plus’ network on the upcoming PlayStation 4, Sony has secured deals with several indie game developers to release their games free for a month on the network.

Origami-Inspired Clocks So Attention-Grabbing, You’ll Never Run Late

Sometimes a piece of design is so interesting, it’s hard not to drop everything and pay attention to it. Dressed in bright, bold colors, with sharp, tessellated forms, these origami clocks from U.K. firm Raw Dezign definitely fits the bill.

The clocks come in turquoise, yellow, and cream, and you can pick from gold, black, or silver hands. Each one is cast in resin, and the tickers are hand molded to give each clock face its own custom look. They go for $78 and ship in two to three weeks (because, you know how custom work goes). Apple orders iCab iOS browser to cripple JavaScript modules

The developer of iCab Mobile, a feature-rich alternative to the Safari Web browser on iPad and iPhone, has been ordered by Apple to remove its ability to download and install JavaScript modules.

Presumably it’s not the fact that iCab can execute JavaScript that’s causing Apple to apoplectically puff and splutter, but rather its ability to download modules. Both Apple and Google frown upon apps that contain market-like functionality, and someone at Apple probably thought that iCab’s JavaScript modules looked like a bit too much like discrete apps.

Alexander Clauss, iCab’s developer, has rather a lot to say on the matter. “Maybe if I would have called the modules ‘smart bookmarks’ and would have made installing them much more complicated, Apple would have never asked to remove the ability to download them from the internet. The great user experience of installing modules has probably created a suspicion that these modules are more than just a piece of JavaScript code. From a pure technical point of view, if Apple does not allow to download modules (JavaScript code), Apple would also have to disallow to load web pages in general, because these do also contain JavaScript code.”

In conclusion, to circumvent Apple’s draconian decree, iCab Mobile now simply comes bundled with some 20 JavaScript modules. The ability to download modules made by third-party developers has been disabled, however — but even then, Clauss says that you can simply contact him and ask for your module to be bundled with the next version of iCab.
